OK. I've decided that since there are so many Rent haters out there I'm going to reference it in the title or a lyric in the body just to annoy people. :-P

Today Erin from the art department and I headed over to Channel 3 for a taping of Your Life A to Z. Ft. Mc Dowell Casino is having a huge costume party and asked Echo to provide two people to dress up in costume. So, Erin went looking like a female version of the Lost Boys.

I decided that I would give my rugby team a plug. I got some makeup and created a pretty cool looking gash on my forehead--it doesn't look too good in the picture but it did in real life. I also added some bruises and blood to my face.

The funny part was, I didn't need to do anything for my legs. I have a bruise that's bigger than my hand on the inner part of my thigh of my left leg (note arrow). I also have significant scrapes and bruises on my right knee (note other arrow). This doesn't even count the two fingers on my left hand that I can't straighten out because they got jammed the other night at practice. I guess I could have wrapped tape around them.

In addition to those real injuries my groin is seriously strained and the upper right side of my back is seriously sore. I can't turn in bed or else it's like a knife in my back. Same with the act of laying down or getting up. I don't know what the hell I did but it hurts.

Despite hurting like hell, I'm really looking forward to Saturday's game against the Tempe Old Devils.

In other news, my friend Stephen from New York e-mailed me three sound files. They are recordings from church services and are so fucking funny. I've listened to them a half dozen times and I still laugh unctrollably. To the point tears are running down my face. I'm going to stream them all over the next three posts.
